Memories of Gregory Miller
Greg (aka Chiller) Miller was born in Rockford, Illinois to Howard(Sonny) & Shirley(Nall) Miller on Oct. 1, 1958. Greg grew up in Illinois & moved to California prior to entering high school. He excelled in sports & was a star athlete in basketball, baseball & track in both grammar school & high school. After high school, Greg joined the Marines & later returned home when his dad passed away. Fifteen years ago, Greg relocated to Arizona to be close to his mom & step-father, Shirley & David Avery & his brother, Todd. A true salesman, Greg worked at the swap meet & was known by all as the man with the big voice. It was at the swap meet that he met his best buddy, Pete and Pete's wife Debbie. Greg & Pete shared a wonderful friendship & were constant companions that could always count on each other for anything. After a year long battle with esophageal cancer, Greg died peacefully at home with his family by his side Feb. 28, 2016. He is survived by his children, Gregory and Jennifer, two grandchildren, his mother, Shirley Avery, sisters, Debbie Loos & Vicky Wilson, brother Todd Miller, bestfriends Pete & Debbie Torres, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. A family memorial will be held at a later date.
